BRITANNIA. AKA - "Brittannia." Scottish, March (?). C Major (Gillespie): D Major (Bremner). Standard tuning (fiddle). The melody appears in the Gillespie Manuscript of Perth (1768), compiled by James Gillespie, and in Robert Bremner's Collection of Airs and Marches (London, 1761, p. 89). In the beginning of the 19th century it was published by Preston in Marches, Airs & Minuets (London, 1804).
