BUFF AND BLUE [3], THE. English, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Peter Kennedy says an alternate title is "Mrs. General Campbell," however, it does not resemble the reel of that name printed by Gow. The tune appears as "Blue and Buff" in the music manuscript collection of William Mittell (1799, New Romney, Kent).
Printed source: Kennedy (Traditional Dance Music of Britain and Ireland: Reels and Rants), 1997; No. 14, p. 5.
