COAL TIPPLE BLUES. Old-Time, Country Blues. USA, Kentucky. Recorded by Doc Roberts (1897-1978) in the 1920's, and indigenous to east-central Kentucky (Wolfe, 1982). Roberts learned most of his repertory from a black fiddler named Owen Walker and paid little attention to music outside the region where he lived.
Recorded source: Conquerer 8510 (78 RPM), Doc Roberts (1934).
