COW WITH ONE HORN, THE (Bó na Leath Adhairce). Irish, Air (6/8 time, "Slow & marked"). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. One interpretation of the title is that it refers to a still--the 'one horn' referring to a shape of a distilling tube.
Source for notated version: a manuscript collection dated 1861, compiled by Church of Ireland cleric and uilleann piper James Goodman (1828-1896) who collected largely in County Cork [Shields].
Printed source: Shields (Tunes of the Munster Pipers), 2001; No. 33, p. 16.
