CROWN POINT [2]. American, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. No relation to "Crown Point [1]." It is perhaps the "Crownpoint" that is in an unknown fifer's commonplace book (inscribed "The American Volunteer") that dates from c. 1797-1892 (John Hay Library, Brown University).
