Manuscript, Aurora, Oregon, 1888-9, probably created by N:violinist and brass player William Hamilton Ehlen (1886-1935), who became a doctor N:in Uniontown, Washington, as well as leader of the Genesee (Idaho) Brass Band and N:Orchestra. N:Originally published in 1885 as a comic song and in a piano version as a schottische. N:Rosenfeld is credited with coining the term "Tin Pan Alley." Z:V.T.
