X:1 T: Idaho Waltz C: N:Boyd Denaston of Salt Lake City says that Mannie Shaw played this tune at the N:Idaho State Fiddle contest around 1981, but he didn't catch the name at the time, so N:when he brought it to the Utah Old Time Fiddlers, he called it the Idaho Waltz for N:want of a better name. Mannie Shaw (1907 - 1992), a rancher in Corral, Idaho, was the N:principal founder of the Idaho Old Time Fiddle Association in 1962.
