X:1 T:Uncle Dink N:From the playing of fiddler Gene Goforth (1921- 2002, Eminence, Mo.), from N:a recoding by Mark Wilson in 1997. N:The tune is named for Gene's father, Richard "Dink" Goforth, a fiddler. Dink left N:home when he was 15 yrs. old and "did a little hoboing" but who returned to Shannon N:County. Dink's father, Josh Goforth, was also a fiddler. M:C| L:1/8 R:Reel Q:"Fast" N:note that 'g' notes are natural except where indicated as sharped. Goforth N:played the 'G' note in cadence mostly sharp, but occasionally natural.
